Gravitate XC(Pony Express) / Jungle Dirt Bowl Jam
Gravitate XC(Pony Express) / Jungle Dirt Bowl Jam
The big one. The star of the show.
Of course, Gravitate would not be complete without the Infamous Jungle Dirt Bowl Jam.
After a unprecedented success last year, it was time to step it up a notch. This year the jumps are bigger, the bowl is bigger, and the crowds will be too.
Come and experience history. For those who are not aware, the ‘Dirt Bowl’ at smithfield is a true icon. Before anyone else know how to jump a gutter, the local crew were sending this natural carved out bowl to the sky and back. Australia’s (if not the worlds…) first freestyle event?? Back in 1994 it captured the world by suprise with a one off Jam during the World Cup round at Smithfield MTB Park.
For 2012 it returns once again, given a new lease of life after the wet season once again caused havok over the summer months, along with a completely new, rebuilt set of jumps dwarfing the previous years.
NOTE: ALL PRIZES WON DURING THE WEEK WILL BE PRESENTED DURING THE NIGHT. SO DON’T MISS OUT!!
