Herberton 8 Hour

The 2010 Herberton 8 Hour will be held on Sunday 8th August at the Tepon Equestrian Park, Herberton. This is an 8 hour endurance cross country race for solo, pairs (2) or teams of 3 or 4 riders. The event is now being run by the Tableland Cycle Sports / TIMBA group and entry/info is through their website.

Herberton 8 Hour Course

The 2009 Herberton 8 Hour course is 13.5km in length and has 260m of climbing and descending per lap. It is set in the high country behind Cairns on the Atherton Tablelands with a starting elevation of 915m above sea level.

The course layout is below (please click to open larger image).

The course profile has a minimum elevation of 874m crossing Flaggy Creek and a maximum of 966m on the aptly named Mt Misery.
